Yoshinogari Keitai-Guide
Discovered at the edge of a pit dwelling, this small raised structure is thought to be a kitchen. In the Yoshinogari ruins, traces of cooking cannot be found in the remains of the fires in the pit dwellings. From the discovery of remains used at the time of cooking outside the dwellings, it is thought that cooking was done outside. The cooking was probably done in these small structures close to the pit dwellings.
